Respiratory diseases health conference opens in Danang

More than 90 reports by leading experts will be presented at the two-day annual update conference, focusing on novel and advanced care strategies for bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, asthma, tuberculosis, and other respiratory diseases.

In a speech at the opening, Ngo Quy Chau, chair of the Vietnam Respiratory Society, said the emergence of multidrug resistance of many types of bacteria in recent times has made the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases much more difficult.

He underscored the importance of the event in helping medical professionals learn from the advanced scientific research and application of modern science and technology of other countries to improve the quality of healthcare in Vietnam.
