Vietnam’s experience will help Mozambique reduce poverty, said Mozambique Prime Minister Aires Bonifacio Ali while working with the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture Sciences (VAAS) on September 4.

The VAAS sent specialists to Mozambique to help the country carry out a rice production project in Zambia province. It also trained 40 staffs on agriculture production techniques.

The academy is now working with the National Institute for Agricultural Research of Mozambique on a project to exchange new varieties of rice, create cultivation models, and train human resources for developing rice growing in both countries.

At the working session, PM Ali said Mozambique attaches great importance to poverty reduction, and said he hopes Vietnam will help the country with its agricultural development.

The same day, PM Ali laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and at the Martyrs Monument, and worked with the Viettel Telecom Company.
