The final round of the 2006 Vietnam Robot Creation Contest concluded at Da Nang Gymnasium on June 4 with the BKPro team from the Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic proclaimed as the new champions.
The runners-up included BKAZX (second place) from Hanoi Polytechnic and BKFTV and TRY (third position) from Hanoi Polytechnic and HCM City College for Technical Teachers, respectively.
BKPro was granted a certificate of merit, an official prize worth VND40 million and additional prizes worth VND60 million in total. After the awards ceremony, the team presented VND2 million to typhoon victims in central Vietnam.
BKPro will represent Vietnam to compete in the 5th Asia-Pacific Robot Contest due to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in mid-September 2006.
