Since the beginning of the year, central Quang Tri province has received many delegations and families of martyrs who came to visit the come to Truong Son and Road 9 cemeteries.

The total number of domestic and international visitors to the two cemeteries is estimated at more than 90,000. The July 27 office and the Quang Nam provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs have created favourable conditions for them to find graves of martyrs and pay tribute to the dead.

The two cemeteries are located in Dong Ha town and Gio Linh district.


Since the beginning of the year, northern Hai Duong province has spent VND1.2 billion from the “Paying Debts of Gratitude” fund building 48 compassionate houses and repairing 124 houses for families of policy beneficiaries.


According to the Hai Duong Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, many local businesses, organisations and individuals have actively taken part in the “Paying debts of gratitude” movement. The department has spent VND1.5 billion to building houses for policy beneficiaries and those credited with revolutionary services and repairing provincial cemeteries.


To mark the 60th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), Thang Binh district in central Quang Nam province has built a new monument to heroes and martyrs who died there during the war and 130 compassionate houses at a total cost of more than VND2 billion, donated by individuals and organisations from across the country.


On this occasion, 26 mothers in the district were awarded and posthumously awarded the heroic Vietnamese mother title.
