Over 100 Vietnamese and Spanish enterprises met in a forum on business investment and cooperation in Ho Chi Minh City on February 28.

The participants included representatives from 35 Spanish leading businesses involved in engineering, energy recycling, tourism, construction, transport, mining and audio-visual technology.

Addressing the forum, Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism and Trade Pedro Mejia Gomez highly appreciated Vietnam’s economic cooperation and investment environment, which has attracted many Spanish businesses to the country for cooperation opportunities.

The Spanish State Secretary said that his country was interested in a metro project in Ho Chi Minh City and expressed his hope that Spain will be accepted as an effective investor.

At the forum, several businesses signed agreements on technology transfer, business cooperation and technical assistance.
