Vietnam and Singapore will sign another memorandum of understanding (MoU) on promoting ties between the two countries’ securities markets.

The signing of the agreement between the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) and the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) is scheduled for April 2 to establish a channel for information exchange relating to regulatory framework operations, as well as products and derivatives securities.

The two stock exchanges will also boost management cooperation and provide listing assistance for companies of each side.

The cooperation is expected to help Vietnamese companies access investors and analysts, with a view to promoting their images and trademarks, as well as help raise the position of the financial service sector.

On February 27, the Singapore Exchange Limited and the HCM City Trading Centre (HoSTC) signed a MoU to foster ties.
