Some 550 business leaders and senior executives from local and foreign companies discussed industrial best practices at the country’s most comprehensive and premier technology forum held on August 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The global summit, titled “Business Beyond Boundaries”, was hosted by SAP, the world’s leading provider of business software, for the second time in Vietnam.

It aimed to explore new ways of driving collaboration and innovation to help businesses succeed in a challenging global economy, and offered visitors a chance to catch up with the latest developments in the business world.

The effects of globalisation require businesses to use IT so they can respond more effectively to shifting business challenges and opportunities, said Eric MacDonald, Director of SAP in Southeast Asia, adding that the summit demonstrated SAP’s commitment to long-term investment in the Vietnamese market, especially the finance and insurance sector.

According to plan, SAP software is expected to be installed in public agency offices across the country.
