Junior talent to perform in Hanoi

(VOV) -Young Vietnamese pianist Nguyen Viet Trung will join the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) in the Pastoral Symphony Concert at Hanoi Opera House on December 6-7.

He will play classical pieces, some by Ludwig van Beethoven under the baton of Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji.

The 16-year-old artist has represented Vietnam at a number of international contests and has won many prestigious prizes.

He was among the world’s eight guest pianists playing for the Junior Academy Eppan along with famous Prof. Andrea Bonatta.

In 2005 Trung won first prize at the Emmy Alberg competition in Lodz, Poland.

In 2012, he came second at the Rotaract-Rotary International Piano Competition held in Spain for young pianists who best performed Chopin’s works.

He has also played for many popular symphony orchestras in Poland, Ukraine and Hungary.
