President Pascal Couchepin and his wife left Ho Chi Minh City on August 6, successfully concluding the three-day visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese State President Nguyen Minh Triet and his wife.

During his stay in Vietnam, the Swiss President held talks with a number of Vietnamese top leaders. He expressed his admiration for Vietnam’s impressive achievements in recent times and his belief that the country will soon overcome temporary economic difficulties and become an attractive destination for foreign investors, including those from Switzerland.
