Dong Nai’s FDI hits US$178 million in January
(VOV) -Industrial parks (IP) in the southern province of Dong Nai attracted approximately US$177.8 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in January, meeting 19.8% of the annual target.
The provincial IP Authority licensed 8 new FDI projects capitalised at US$71.7 million and approved 42 others registering for increased capital, totalling US$106 million.
It also granted an investment license to a domestic project valued at VND60 billion.
In 2014 Dong Nai’s IPs plan to attract US$900 million in investment, including US$400 million from newly licensed projects.
The province prioritises environmentally friendly and high-tech projects in support industries that require skilled human resources.
