Singapore Polytechnic (SP) Institution will help build a vocational training model in Ho Chi Minh City.

An agreement to this effect was signed in HCM City on August 22 by Huynh Cong Minh, Director of the Municipal Department of Education and Training and Tan Hang Cheong, Director of the Singapore Polytechnic Institution.

The three-year project focuses on improving professional skills for the management staff and teachers at vocational training schools, modernising teaching methods and building a quality management system.

Sixty managerial staff and teachers of four vocational training schools will attend a training course given by Singaporean teachers which will be organised both in Ho Chi Minh City and SP institution.

The US$1.15 million project will be financed by the Singaporean Temasek Fund.
