Party delegation tours European nations

(VOV) -Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, Hoang Binh Quan led a delegation to make a working visit to Poland , the Czech Republic and Hungary from April 16-23, with the aim of boosting political relations.

Dung the visit, the Party official had talks with representatives from Poland’s Democratic Left Alliance, the Czech Republic ’s Communist Party, and members of the ruling Fidesz party, the Socialist Party and the Workers’ Party in Hungary.

At meetings with leaders from the three countries’ parliaments, Quan and his hosts discussed measures to propel relations between Vietnam and the three European nations. 

Quan expressed hope that the countries’ parties will back solutions for promoting bilateral ties with Vietnam in the time to come.

The leaders applauded their nations' cooperation with Vietnam over the past 65 years, describing this as a firm foundation for furthering links in the time ahead. 

They also compared notes on regional and global issues of shared concern, including the East Sea issue. 

Quan affirmed Vietnam’s unwavering policy of settling East Sea disputes through peaceful means in line with to international law, including the 1982 United Nations on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). 

During his stay in the Czech Republic, Quan spoke at a seminar reviewing Vietnam’s significant achievements during the 30-year renewal process.
He also visited the Vietnam Embassies and met with Vietnamese expatriates in the three countries.
