This year's series, titled "The Spirit of Inspiration and Legacy of Excellence" will welcome French pianist, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, in the first place.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the "Hennessy Concert Series", Thibaudet will present a programme of "immense technical bravura and artistic sensibility" through Robert Schumann and Maurice Ravel's works.

Artists featured in the Series over the past 10 years have included the American soprano Barbara Bonney, Eroica Trio from New York, St. Lawrence String Quartet from Canada, Cello Mstislav Tostropovich from Russia, the duo of Julian Rachlin and Lambert Orkis, Chinese prodigy Lang Lang, and Grammy-winning violinist Hilary Hahn.

The programme is expected to be broadcast live  on a 500-inch video screen at August Revolution Square, to share the performance with Hanoians.
