Authorities from central Nghe An province held a ceremony on May 9 to rebury remains of 169 Vietnamese fallen soldiers who had died during the resistant wars in Laos.

The ceremony at Anh Son district's Vietnam-Laos friendship cemetery was attended by Lieutenant general Bui Van Huan, deputy Chairman of the Political General Department of the Vietnam People's Army, the deputy minister of Lao Labour and Social Welfare, and representatives of local authorities.

Of the 169 sets of remains, only four were identified.
