The Ministry of Construction has set up a council to select foreign consultants for a project to expand Hanoi capital by 2030 with a vision for 2050.

The11-member council includes Deputy Minister of Construction Tran Ngoc Chinh, who is also the council’s chairman and other leaders from the relevant ministries and agencies.

The council has been directed to conduct the necessary research, then assess and select foreign consultants who will help to carry out the project.

The Deputy Minister said that apart from selecting foreign consultants, the selection of contractors for the Hanoi expansion project will be soon completed and the ministry expects to report back to the Prime Minister by the end of this month.
