Vietnam will have 30 border economic zones by 2020 in order to increase cross-border trade turnover with neighbouring countries to US$43 billion.
The border economic zones, under a plan approved by the Prime Minister, will include the construction of synchronous infrastructure and development of management models and policies for the nine border economic zones of Mong Cai, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Cau Treo, Bo Y, Moc Bai, An Giang, Dong Thap and Lao Bao.
