Vietnam seeking int’l education, sci-tech cooperation

(VOV) - It is urgent to identify effective methods of cooperation in the field of education, science and technology, said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan.

He was speaking at a seminar held by the National Steering Committee for International Integration in Education, Science and Technology on April 16.

The Deputy PM called for closer cooperation in science between the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the Graduate Academy of Social Sciences, Hanoi National University and Vietnam National University - HCM City.

In addition, there must be proper planning for research centres to develop and cooperate with foreign partners in doing research work together till 2010, Nhan said.

The deputy PM asked the national steering committee to formulate draft regulations for cooperation, particularly with the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Israel and India.
