The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho will receive more than US$26.3 million from the World Bank (WB) for the second phase of a project to upgrade the city’s urban facilities.


During the first phase of the WB-funded project, US$11.5 million was used to upgrade infrastructure in An Cu and An Hoi communes, Ninh Kieu district.


In the second phase, drainage systems in Ninh Kieu district will be built and upgraded.


Can Tho is among four cities in Vietnam to receive WB aid for urban improvement.
