Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the statement while receiving 14 outstanding representatives from the businesses and enterprises of war veterans in Hanoi on September 21.

He praised the businesses for their efforts to overcome difficulties and make achievements in the “Paying Debts of Gratitude” movement, poverty reduction and other economic development activities. He expressed hope that they will continue to promote their achievements and make greater efforts in production development, contributing to the country’s process of Doi Moi (Renewal) and international integration.

The PM also spoke highly of achievements made by the Vietnam War Veterans newspaper in fulfilling the political tasks of the Party, the State and the Vietnam War Veteran Association. He said the newspaper should continue to improve its quality to become a real organ and a forum for war veterans with a view to promoting their potential and advantages.
