Vietnam is ready for the third Asian Indoor Games to be held on October 30, the Vietnamese Olympic Committee said at a meeting of national representatives on August 27.

During the two-day meeting in Hanoi the leaders of the participating countries will finalise the preparations for the Games and inspect the competition venues. Representatives from the Asian Olympic Council expressed their appreciation for Vietnam’s preparations.

The Games will be a big event in Vietnam and provide a good chance for athletes from Asia to get together and find out just how much Vietnam has developed,” said the OCA’s honorary vice president Wei Jizhong.

At a press conference after the meeting, the Vietnamese Olympic Committee’s vice chairman and general secretary, Hoang Vinh Giang stressed that Vietnam has done its best to prepare for the games. The games will make Vietnamese people more confident and the success of the games will increase the status of Vietnam throughout Asia.
