The ships H.T.M.S Taksin and H.T.M.S Chaophraya ships, belonging to the Royal Thai Naval Academy, docked at Da Nang City’s Tien Sa port on April 27.

Present at a ceremony to welcome the arrival of 565 officers and men from both ships were leaders of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, representatives of the External Relations Department and other departments from the Ministry of National Defence.

Also on hand were Thailand’s Ambassador to Vietnam Pisanu Chanvitan and military attaché Colonel Wipaks Noichinda.

During their visit to Da Nang city, the Thai sailors will meet with the city’s leaders, play a friendly volleyball match against Military Zone 2’s Naval team and go on a sightseeing tour of the city organised by the Prroshipser Company.

Both ships will depart from the city on April 29.
