Vietnam entered the quarterfinal after beating Brunei 7-0 in the first round of the 34th Asian Student Football Championship currently being held in the central port city of Da Nang.
Together with Vietnam, teams from Thailand, Indonesia, China, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Hong Kong, will play off in the quarter-finals.
Vietnamese footballers will meet Sri Lanka rivals in the quarter-final and are expected to advance to the semifinal.
