The 48th International Mathematics Olympiad will take place in Vietnam from July 19-31 with the participation of 96 teams from all over the world. Each team includes six high school students, a leader and a deputy leader.

The contestants will solve problems on July 25 and 26, three problems for each day. Six official problems for the competition will be shortlisted out of 20-30 tests submitted by participating countries.

The organizers have selected 70 people for marking the papers completed by the contestants.
There will be a total of nearly 150 observers at this year’s event.
Vietnam is also expected to host the International Physics Olympiad in 2008.
