The Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party has sent a message of congratulations to the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on the occasion of its 78^th anniversary (February 3).

The message said over the past 78 years the Communist Party of Vietnam founded by President Ho Chi Minh has led the Vietnamese people to overcome hardship and challenges, achieve brilliant feats of arms and stand firm on the path to socialism.

In the message, the Lao Party Central Committee noted that the Doi Moi (Renewal) process initiated and led by the CPV has resulted in significant achievements, including political stability, steady economic growth and people’s improved living standard, thereby increasing Vietnam’s role and position in the international arena.

The Committee affirmed that the friendship relationship and the comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam will further develop in the future.
