The Royal Thai Navy ship, H.T.M.S Narathiwat, with a 146-member crew, docked at Hai Phong on May 23, beginning a four-day visit to the northern port city.

The trip aims to strengthen the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between Vietnam and Thailand. It is also part of the activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2011).

Rear Admiral Pradit Sirikupt, head of the Thai delegation, and the Thai ambassador to Vietnam, Anuso Chivanno, are scheduled to make courtesy visits to the leaders of the Hai Phong municipal People’s Committee, the High Command of the Vietnam People’s Navy and the High Command of Military Zone 3.

During their stay in Vietnam, the Thai guests will visit tourist attractions in Hai Phong, Ha Long Bay and Hanoi.
