Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Dung and Pegiran Dato Osman Patra, permanent secretary of Brunei’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade have expressed their pleasure at the development of the two countries' friendship and cooperation in the recent past.

Deputy FM Dung and Secretary Pegiran Dato Osman Patra held a working session in Hanoi on March 19 during the Brunei diplomat's working visit to Vietnam from March 18-20.


The two sides emphasised the significance of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties, which began in 1992. They agreed to jointly organise activities to promote mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.

They also discussed measures to boost trade, investment and cooperation in education, agriculture, oil and gas, tourism and labour between the two countries and agreed to hold a session of the Vietnam-Brunei Joint Committee in Brunei in 2007.
