The Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) will launch a range of activities from July 10 to August 10, such as a Texting for AO victims programme to raise funds for these unfortunate in society.

At a meeting in Hanoi on June 16, the head of the VAVA, Nguyen Van Rinh, praised the press for having given people overseas a better understanding of the dioxin tragedy in Vietnam and for contributing to the victims’ struggle for justice.

Also at the event, another VAVA official, Mai The Chinh, said that VND60 billion has been raised for dioxin victims since August last year.

In the near future, the VAVA will focus on various activities to celebrate the second Orange Day (August 10) and prepare an arts programme for AO victims.
