In a telegram sent on November 2, the PM asked people’s committees at all levels, ministries and branches to mobilise mass media to inform everybody of the Healthy Ministry’s instructions to prevent the disease.

All localities must increase inspections to detect and disinfect areas with cases of acute diarrhoea. Priority should be given to sterilising water and ensuring environmental sanitation and the safety of water supplies.

All hospitals and infirmaries should be ready for on-the-spot treatment, he said.
