Vietnam, Laos defence ministries boost cooperation
(VOV) - A military cooperation plan for 2013 was signed in Hanoi on March 3 by Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh and his Lao counterpart Senior Lieutenant General Douangchay Phichit.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Thanh said the plan will contribute both to consolidating and developing the long-standing friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations and their armies.
Douangchay Phichit, who is also Deputy Prime Minister of Laos, praised the effective cooperation between the two defence ministries over the past year and expressed hope for ever greater success in 2013.
