Vietnam’s first satellite, Vinasat -1 has been loaded onto the launching platform on February 13 and it is expected to be launched into orbit in early April, according to the Vinasat centre under the Vietnam Telecommunication International (VTI).

The launch to be held at Kourou launching pad in French-Guiana will be broadcast live on Vietnamese Television.

Vietnam began the Vinasat telecom satellite launching project in 2005. The advanced technology and the quality of services provided by Vinasat-1 will be higher than other satellites in the region.

Relevant agencies have completed all formalities to prepare for the launch of the satellite.
