The first cultural festival for central and southeastern ethnic groups will take place in Tuy Hoa City of central Phu Yen province from June 15-18. An estimated 20 provinces and cities, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh, will send their arts troupes of 25-30 members to the festival.

There will be various activities in the fiesta, such as mass arts performances of ethnic groups, traditional costume shows, folk games, an exhibition on gastronomy, and seminars.

The festival will debut with performances by the Viet Bac Theatre for Folk Music and Dance, to entertain visitors and local people in Phu Yen. Meanwhile, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnic Nationalities Cultures will launch an exhibition featuring the images of 54 Vietnamese ethnic nationalities.
