The Hue Festival Center has also unveiled that France agrees to provide central Thua Thien-Hue province with US$30,000 for the training of technicians to serve culture activities in Hue.

Main activities of the Hue Festival 2008, themed “Cultural heritage with integration and development”, will take place from June 3-11.

Thirty-nine art troupes from 21 countries have registered to take part in the festival.

Besides those from France, others will come from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Canada, the US, Belgium, Romania, Russia, Australia, Switzerland, Israel, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Italy, the Czech Republic, the UK and Indonesia.

The Hue Festival has been held every two years since 2000 as an international cultural tourism event in Vietnam and the region.
