The French "Le Point" Review in its recent issue ran an article entitled "Vietnam - A promising paradise" by Sophie Malo, praising Vietnam as an attractive destination for foreign investors.

The article said Vietnam has many positive factors for foreign investors, such as its GDP reaching a high growth rate of 8.4 percent in 2005, while its purchasing power is increasing. Investment has increased in all sectors, particularly in agriculture, food processing, banking, construction, garment and footwear, and tourism.

The article noted that Vietnam is going to join the World Trade Organisation (WTO) this year in an effort to lure more foreign investment.

Kevin Snowball, Director of PXP Vietnam Asset Management, was quoted as affirming that investors from Asia, Europe, and America have found new encouragement for their investment in Vietnam.
