On January 17, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung lit incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the HCM Relic Complex inside the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

PM Dung expressed his profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh, commenting on his great contributions to the cause of national liberation and construction.

He also praised the officials and staff at the complex for their great efforts to collect and preserve historical documents and objects related to the late president. He called on them to introduce Ho Chi Minh’s life and political career to people across the country as well as international friends, and positively contribute to the “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” movement.

The complex has welcomed millions of Vietnamese and foreign visitors who come to study President Ho’s revolutionary life.

The same day, PM Dung also paid a New Year’s visit to General Vo Nguyen Giap, former Party General Secretaries Do Muoi and Le Kha Phieu, and former State President Le Duc Anh.
