Vietnam has sent additional 20,000 guest workers abroad so far this year, according to the Overseas Labour Management Department under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).

In the past two months, the country sent more than 2,000 labourers to Qatar, bringing the total of guest workers to over 7,000 in the Middle East market. Labour export enterprises have just signed a number of labour contracts to send more Vietnamese guest workers to the Middle East market with an average salary of VND4-6 million per month.

This year, the country aims to export 80,000 guest workers, mainly to the Middle East market.
