On the morning of October 20, domestic gold prices rose to VND23,980,000/tael after the world gold nearly hit last week’s record of US$1,068/oz.

This was due to the imbalance between demand and supply.

Domestic gold was bought at VND23,870,000/tael and sold at VND23,980,000/tael.

It was transacted at a record VND23,980,000/tael in Ho Chi Minh City’s Saigon Jewelry Holding Company.

According to information from gold investors, gold transaction has been slow after a sharp increase early last week.
