Lao newspaper Passason of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on February 2 highlighted glorious historical periods of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on its 77^th anniversary (February 3).

The newspaper reviewed the situation in Vietnam and the world in the first years of the 20^th century and settings leading to the establishment of the CPV on February 3, 1930 and its first Political Programme.

The paper stressed that the Vietnamese revolution has gained from one victory to another under the leadership of the CPV over the past 77 years. It said the CPV has led the Vietnamese people to hold high the banner of national independence and socialism, overcome all challenges and obtain tremendous achievements in all areas.
