Hanoi’s Vietnam-India Friendship Association held its Congress on July 29 to approve its action plan for the 2007-2012 term. The speakers presented opportunities for Hanoi’s students to study in India and investment opportunities for businesses of the two countries.

The plan specifies that in conjunction with maintaining regular activities during festivals, the association will organise traditional art performances by troupes from both countries.

Chu Thuy Quynh, President of the Vietnam Dancers’ Society, was elected President of the Association.

Established in January 2002, Hanoi’s Vietnam-India Friendship Association has so far developed four chapters in universities, junior colleges and businesses, contributing to fostering the friendship and solidarity between the two capital cities, Hanoi and New Delhi.
