The Technology Centre for Bomb and Mine Disposal (BOMICEN) of the Vietnam People’s Army has concluded a mine clearance phase lasting 37 days in the war-torn province of Quang Tri.
The work was part of a mine clearance cooperation progamme between BOMICEN and the Vietnam Victims Memorial Fund (VVMF) of the US.
It was conducted on an area of 22 ha, where 260 bombs, including a 500-pound one, have been refuted.
