Information and updated technologies applied to treatment of children’s diseases were highlighted by delegates from Australia, the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Central Paediatrics Hospital, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Liem said that this is a remarkable event for regional and international paediatrics, recognising quantum leap forward in the methods to treat children’s diseases. 

Before the conference, regional doctors visited the Central Paediatrics Hospital and monitored a series of endoscopic surgeries by Vietnamese and international leading experts.

Vietnam is one of the leading countries in the endoscopic surgery in Southeast Asia. However, the country is still facing difficulties in diagnoses and treatment of new diseases.
