The Lao Cai copper refinery plant in the northern region turned out the first batch of 20 tonnes of copper on June 3 by using 120 tonnes of ores from Sin Quyen mine in Bat Sat district.

The Lao Cai copper refinery plant had been built at a cost of VND900 billion with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes of copper and 341 kg of gold and 146 kg of silver from electrolysis of copper mud.
