At a meeting on June 26, Mr Sang spoke of serious problems arising from drug-related and criminal gangs.

He requested the sector to improve its personnel work, legal institution and professional ethics.

Mr Sang said the procuracy sector needs to actively engage in the process of judicial reform within the law with the aim of reducing wrongful trials and letting no criminals escape punishment.

Tran Quoc Vuong, Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, said the sector will continue to disseminate the Party’s policies and guidelines and improve justice at all levels of procuracy.
