Tien Minh jumps to 6th position in world rankings
(VOV) - Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has moved two notches up to 6th position in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.
Tien Minh is lucky when many badminton players have declined to join international tournaments in recent times.
In particular, Lin Dan (China) has just got married and dropped from 4th to 8th position in the world rankings.
In 2012, Minh won the championship title in the Chinese Taipei Open, but was defeated by Chinese rival Wong Wing Ki in the first round of the Korean Open.
