Exchange promotes Vietnamese trademarks

(VOV) - On July 31, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held an exchange entitled “Proud of Vietnamese trademarks” in Hanoi with the aim of promoting the National Trademark Program and the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products”.

The National Trademark Program aims to build a reputation for Vietnamese high-quality products and services and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese products domestically and globally. Last year 63 of Vietnam’s 500 biggest enterprises were selected as national trademarks.

Bui Huy Son, Director of the Trade Promotion Department and Secretary General of the National Trademark Program said, “Enterprises have been aware of the need to build and protect their trademarks in the global competition. With support from the government, they have engaged in activities of the national trademark council to bring about practical benefit for their businesses and enhance the prestige of Vietnamese trademarks.”

Regardless of various economic difficulties, the Vietnamese trademark program has obtained remarkable results, contributing to raise Vietnam’s export revenue to US$100 billion in 2012 and US$150 billion in 2014.
