Belgian conductor Daniel Gazon will perform in Ho Chi Minh City this weekend.

He will collaborate with the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra to perform Beethoven’s Symphony No.7.

Born in 1955 in Waimes, Gazon graduated in the trumpet and double bass from the Conservatoire Royal de Liege in 1977. He began to study conducting in 1978 under Professor Igor Markevich and Max Deutsch.

He then went to the Tanglewood Music Centre in Massachusettes, the US, where he worked with well-known conductors like Seiji Ozawa, Kurt Masur and Josheph Silverstein.

The 90-minute show will open with Belgian music, P. Gilson’s Fanfare Inaugurale and L. Mortelman’s Morgenstemming.
