During the working visit to the Ministry of Labour and Invalids and Social Affairs on August 25, the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked it to intensify vocational training and ensure the legitimate interests of Vietnamese guest workers.

The Government leader praised the Ministry’s efforts in assuming new management functions from the National Committee for Population, Family and Children and building draft decrees on new functions, tasks and organisational structure of the ministry for submission to the Government.

Mr Dung asked the Ministry to well manage labour export by streaming cumbersome procedures, assisting and protecting Vietnamese guest workers.

The Ministry should propose the promulgation of appropriate mechanisms and policies for protecting and providing the best care for children, said Mr Dung.

In conclusion, the PM agreed with some proposals made by the Ministry with a view to creating good conditions for it to effectively fulfil the assigned tasks.
