The congress, attended by 50 representatives of more than 2,000 Vietnamese students in Paris and Ile-de-France region, reviewed its work in 2005-2006 and approved a plan of action for the next two years.

Established on December 10, 2005, the Paris chapter has organised many activities to meet the Vietnamese students' desires, helping promote their unity and mutual assistance. The chapter has held forums to help new students get information in need as well as meetings, seminars and cultural and sports activities for their entertainment and improve the exchange among Vietnamese students in different regions of France.

The association plans to promote activities to better serve students in their study and cultural life, and also cooperate with other associations, including the Association of Vietnamese nationals in France, the Association of Vietnamese Youth in France to enhance the students' social activities.
