The Vietnam Red Cross Society on Dec. 9 received more than VND1 billion from the trade unions of the construction industry and the National Institute for Administration in Hanoi in support of Cuban victims of recent hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Of the sum, over VND950 million was donated by staff of the construction industry, and nearly VND40 million from the National Institute for Administration in Hanoi.
So far, the Vietnam Red Cross Society has mobilised more than VND15.3 billion from organisations and individuals to help Cuba in the aftermath of natural disasters.
