The victim was a 39-week pregnant woman, from the southern province of Dong Nai, who died on September 29. 

Fortunately, her baby girl has survived. 

The same day, 205 more cases of super flu infection were reported, raising the total number of patients to 9,058 with 16 fatalities. 

According to Nguyen Huy Nga, Head of the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department, only four out of 63 cities and provinces nationwide are free of the disease, namely Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Dien Bien and Lai Chau in the northern mountainous areas.
