The Vietnam Students Association held its annual Sao Thang Gieng (January Stars) awards ceremony in Hanoi on January 6 to mark the 58th anniversary of Students Day.
The event was attended by the party’s Politburo Member Ho Duc Viet and Head of the Party’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Ha Thi Khiet.
The awards were presented to 206 students who excelled in both their studies and social activities. Many of them are from disadvantaged backgrounds. Of the winners, 52 are Party members and 12 from ethnic minority groups.
This year, the Vietnam Students Association will organize its congresses at all levels.
